On 26 and 27 May 2025, Space Exchange Switzerland brought together the Swiss space community at the SwissTech Convention Center in Lausanne for two days of exchange, collaboration and celebration.
The Space Community Days are held every two years and bring together the different stakeholders of Switzerland’s space ecosystem, from companies and startups to researchers, institutions and professionals.
The 2025 edition brought 300 participants. They joined us across the two days, taking part in 34 presentations and more than 250 One-to-One Meetings. The event provided a vibrant platform to share knowledge, exchange ideas, build new connections and explore opportunities for collaboration within the Swiss space community.
On 26 May, the Space Community Days also provided the setting for a special celebration: ESA’s 50th anniversary.
More than 1,000 participants gathered at the SwissTech Convention Center to celebrate five decades of European cooperation in space. Distinguished speakers from a wide range of sectors joined us for the occasion, bringing different perspectives and insights and contributing to inspiring discussions about ESA’s achievements and the future of space.
The celebration continued with four spectacular performances by the Swiss-led troupe The Blackouts, who brought energy and creativity to the evening. At the end of the celebration, participants were also invited to become part of the show, creating a memorable shared experience.
From inspiring presentations and new connections to the energy of the ESA 50th anniversary celebration, the two days brought together the Swiss and European space communities for a memorable celebration of collaboration, innovation and the future of space.
