About Us
We promote space in Switzerland!
Space exchange Switzerland (SXS) is a national platform for the promotion of space in Switzerland. Our consortium of 5 partners (EPFL, as leading house, ETH Zurich, University of Zurich, University of Applied Sciences and Arts Northwestern Switzerland - FHNW, and Università della Svizzera italiana - USI) implements a 3 year mandate which runs from 2022 to end 2024. SXS is funded by the Swiss Space Office of the State Secretariat for Education, Research and Innovation (SERI/SSO).
Intended to support the further development of space in Switzerland, our consortium puts all its energy into assisting the SERI/SSO to:
Ensure SXS becomes an efficient and recognized national platform for the space field.
Amplify the voices of the Swiss space ecosystem nationally and internationally.
Improve Swiss companies’ visibility and adaptability in the space field, namely towards ESA and its technology needs.
Engage young talents to become the future generation of space experts.
Support Swiss entities in developing their knowledge and aptitude in using earth observation space data.
Each partner contributes to projects in its area of expertise. Through different strategic domains such as facilitation of professional training, outreach activities, careers, events, technology harmonization, and technical support for earth observation data, SXS will be an efficient multiproject-oriented platform around space!
The Space exchange Switzerland platform is open to everyone. Students and academics, space professionals and space-enthusiasts are welcome to exchange, learn and deepen their knowledge about space through the SXS platform. Participate to information events, make yourself known by ESA technology experts, discover our career possibilities on our webpage or contact us for your space outreach events. Connect right now to our webpage and discover our activities!
Space exchange Switzerland is a neutral platform and operates complementarily to existing initiatives.
