How can satellite data support the work of cantonal administrations today and in the future?
Following a nationwide survey conducted by the Scientific NPOC and Space Exchange Switzerland, we are pleased to invite cantonal administration staff to a dedicated seminar exploring the practical use of satellite data in public administration.
The seminar will bring together representatives from cantonal administrations, industry, and academia to share experiences, discuss challenges, and highlight successful applications of satellite data. Several cantons will present their own use cases and lessons learned, covering topics such as drought monitoring, agriculture, natural hazard management, and ground movement detection.
Beyond the presentation of survey results, the event aims to foster an open and informal exchange where participants can learn from one another, discover the potential of Earth observation data for their daily work, and identify opportunities for future collaboration.
Interactive workshops in the afternoon will allow participants to discuss concrete use cases and explore how satellite data can address real administrative needs.
